Dr. Nissar Shaikh (Shaikh Nissaruddin Maheboob), MBBS, MD, EDIC, DiD, FCCM, is a senior intensivist at Hamad Medical Corporation and affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College in Doha, Qatar, as well as Qatar University. He is an Associate Professor at the College of Medicine at Qatar University and an Assistant Professor at Weill Cornell Medical College in Doha, Qatar. He has published 10 medical/intensive care books, 250 peer-reviewed medical publications, and 50 book chapters. He has presented extensively at national and international conferences and has been invited to deliver lectures. He is a recipient of the Star of Excellence and other awards at Hamad Medical Corporation.
