Hosam Saleh is Professor of Radioactive Waste Management at the Radioisotope Department, Atomic Energy Authority, Egypt. He was awarded an MSc and a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Cairo University. Saleh has more than 28 years of experience in hazardous waste management, with an emphasis on treatment and the development of new matrices for immobilizing these wastes. He is also interested in studying innovative, environmentally friendly techniques for managing hazardous and radioactive waste. He authored many peer-reviewed scientific papers and chapters and served as an editor of several books. He has been selected among the top 2% of scientists in the world, according to Stanford University reports published by Elsevier for 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
