IntechOpen Editor to Present Open Access Publishing Experience at Jornada Académica de Cooperación Biblioteca-Editorial

IntechOpen editor Dr Jorge Morales-Montor will be a plenary speaker at the Jornada Académica de Cooperación Biblioteca-Editorial, taking place from 4-6 March 2026 at the Auditorio José María Vigil of the Biblioteca Nacional de México.

As part of the programme, Dr Morales-Montor will present on his experience collaborating with IntechOpen as an Academic Editor, illustrating how open access can increase research visibility and broaden academic reach through real publishing outcomes. His plenary lecture will take place on 6 March, 9 am.

Dr Morales-Montor is Professor of Immunology at the Instituto de Investigaciones Biomédicas, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). He has received more than 35 academic awards and previously served as President of the Mexican Society of Parasitology.

The Jornada Académica de Cooperación Biblioteca‑Editorial brings together editors, librarians and researchers to explore collaborative approaches to academic publishing while strengthening the visibility and impact of scholarly work.

IntechOpen’s regional representatives for Mexico, Chile, and Colombia, LSR Libros S.A. de C.V., will also be present at the event with a booth, where attendees are welcome to visit and connect with the team.

With over 500 UNAM authors and editors published with IntechOpen, this event allows us to further connect with and support our community face-to-face.
