Open Access Publishing Fees
IntechOpen is a gold OA publisher, and authors and/or their institutions are requested to pay a one-time open access publishing fee to allow for the work to be permanently accessible online without any restriction and, at the same time, cover the costs related to the publishing process, administration and management, professional production of books, chapters, journals and journal articles in different formats, and dissemination of published works through various online and offline channels. The open access publishing fee is payable only if a submitted work is accepted for publication following review.

These prices do not include Value-Added Tax (VAT). Residents of European Union countries need to add VAT based on the specific rate in their country of residence. Institutions and companies registered as VAT-taxable entities in their own EU member state will not pay VAT as long as the VAT registration number is provided during the application process. This is made possible by the EU reverse charge method.
IntechOpen occasionally partially or fully waives the OA publishing fees for specific book projects based on partnership agreements, subject areas, or other book catalogue-related considerations.
Journals
IntechOpen Journals currently operate under an APC-free model, meaning there will be no Article Processing Charge for accepted manuscripts.
